Every Paramount Tactical Barreled Action starts as two of the best pieces in precision rifle manufacturing — a receiver from American Rifle Company, Defiance Machine, or Impact Precision, and a hand-selected, single-point cut-rifled barrel blank from Bartlein Barrels. We true the action, index and torque the barrel to spec, chamber and headspace to your cartridge, and hand it back as one certified, ready-to-drop-in unit.
Coup de Grâce
American Rifle Company’s flagship target action — a Remington 700-footprint receiver machined from billet with an integral recoil lug and an integral 20 or 30 MOA Picatinny rail. Its floating bolt-head system swaps across a 0.378″–0.588″ bolt face range, so the same receiver can be re-chambered across cartridge families without buying a new action. The 16-part bolt assembly — 12 in its minimum configuration — disassembles in the field without tools, and every action is explosively proof-tested well beyond SAAMI/CIP standards before it leaves ARC’s shop.
| Footprint | Remington 700 |

Coup de Grâce Lightweight
Built on the same tool-free, 16-part bolt as the standard Coup de Grâce, the Lightweight trims roughly 6.5 oz from the short-action receiver (766 g / 27.0 oz) with a fluted bolt body and an integral 15 MOA split Picatinny rail. It’s the pick when the build needs to shed weight without giving up the Coup de Grâce’s field-strippable bolt or explosive proof-test standard — a natural pairing with our Bartlein carbon fiber barrels for a true mountain long-range rifle.
| Footprint | Remington 700 |
|---|---|
| Short action weight | 766 g / 27.0 oz |
| Rail | Integral 15 MOA split Picatinny |
| Bolt | Fluted, tool-free field strip |

Deviant
Machined from pre-hardened, aircraft-certified 416 stainless steel with a one-piece 4340 chrome-moly bolt. Its swept bolt design uses a Mini-16 extractor and plunger ejector, cut with an anti-bind bolt-body relief and recessed lugs for smooth cycling in the field. The Deviant accepts hinged floorplates, detachable AICS/AW magazines, or single-shot configurations, and every Defiance action carries a lifetime guarantee against cracking, warping, or breaking.
| Material | 416 stainless receiver / 4340 CM bolt |
|---|---|
| Barrel thread | 1.0625″ x 16 TPI (Rem 700 standard) |
| Extraction | Mini-16 extractor, plunger ejector |
| Feeding | Hinged floorplate, AICS/AW, or single shot |
| Configuration | Right- or left-hand |
| Warranty | Lifetime vs. cracking/warping/breaking |
Ruckus
The Ruckus sits between Defiance’s hunting and full competition lines — a 416 stainless receiver with a one-piece, EDM-machined bolt held to ±.001″ headspace tolerance, an integral 1913 Picatinny rail, and an integral recoil lug. Available with a 90° or 75° bolt throw and in four action lengths — Short, XM (3.200″ max cartridge), Medium, and Long — so the receiver matches the cartridge instead of forcing a compromise.

| Headspace tolerance | ±.001″ |

737 (737R)
Impact Precision’s flagship short action — a one-piece receiver with an integral recoil lug and 20 MOA rail, finished in black carbon nitride for added surface hardness and slicker bolt cycling. The one-piece bolt is fluted top and sides to carry away debris while keeping a smooth bottom for reliable feeding, and ships standard with an AW mag-well cut that runs both AICS single-stack and AW double-stack magazines.
| Footprint | Remington 700 |
|---|---|
| Barrel thread | 1-1/16″ x 16 TPI, Class 3 tenon |
| Finish | Black carbon nitride |
| Bolt throw | 75° or 90° |
| Magazine | AW-cut (AICS single / AW double stack) |
| Rail | Integral 20 MOA Picatinny |
777 (777R)
The 777R scales the 737R up into a true long-action magnum receiver, with a 0.700″ bolt body, a 90° two-lug bolt with interchangeable knobs, and a magwell cut for the Wyatt MBE-3 extended box. It shares the same 1-1/16″ x 16 TPI tenon as the 737R, so barrels — including ours — interchange between the two actions. Built for the magnum cartridges that outgrow a short action.
| Footprint | Remington 700 |
|---|---|
| Weight | 39.5 oz |
| Bolt body diameter | 0.700″ |
| Barrel thread | 1-1/16″ x 16 TPI (shared with 737R) |
| Bolt face | .308 or Magnum |
| Magazine | Wyatt MBE-3 extended box cut |
| Finish | Black carbon nitride |
NBK
The NBK takes the 737R’s geometry and lightens it for a hunting rifle — the same barrel tenon and headspace, so it accepts 737R prefit barrels directly, but with a three-lug, 60° bolt throw that cycles shorter and faster than a traditional two-lug action. Remington 700 footprint, 20 MOA integral rail, black carbon nitride finish, built to carry all day.

|---|---|
| Barrel thread | 1-1/16″ x 16 TPI (737R-prefit compatible) |
| Bolt | 3-lug, 60° throw |
| Magazine | AW-compatible (AICS/AW) |
| Finish | Black carbon nitride |
| Rail | Integral 20 MOA Picatinny |
Every barrel starts as 416R stainless, single-point cut-rifled in Bartlein’s Wisconsin shop — a slower, one-groove-at-a-time process that holds bore geometry more consistently than button or hammer-forged rifling. We spec 5R rifling by default, which angles the lands to reduce bullet jacket deformation and preserve ballistic coefficient over conventional cuts, with conventional rifling available on request for lighter-for-caliber bullets and slower twist rates. From that same blank, we offer three finish paths and a straight-contour option built for suppressor-hosted rifles.
Stainless
Bare 416R stainless in a sporter or heavy taper contour — the baseline for barrel life, machinability, and corrosion resistance that most PRS, F-Class, and precision hunting barrels are built on.
Black Nitride
The same 416R blank finished with a QPQ (quench-polish-quench) black nitride treatment, hardening the surface and adding corrosion and abrasion resistance well beyond bare stainless — a durable, low-maintenance finish for rifles that live outside the safe.
Carbon Fiber
A 416R stainless liner wrapped in oriented carbon fiber, cutting 20–25% of the weight out of an equivalent steel contour without giving up stiffness. The resin is rated stable past 500°F, with roughly 2.75″ of steel left exposed at the breech before the carbon wrap begins — the standard choice when the barreled action needs to carry easily into the field.
Straight Contour
A straight, non-tapered contour instead of a traditional sporter taper, holding one constant diameter down the barrel’s length. It’s the contour we reach for on suppressor-hosted builds, where a constant OD keeps point-of-impact shift predictable and barrel harmonics consistent under the added mass.
| Base material | 416R stainless steel |
|---|---|
| Manufacturing | Single-point cut-rifled |
| Rifling | 5R standard (conventional available) |
| Finishes | Bare stainless, black nitride (QPQ), carbon fiber wrap |
| Contours | Sporter taper, heavy taper, straight (non-tapered) |
| Carbon fiber weight savings | 20–25% vs. equivalent steel contour |
| Carbon fiber resin rating | Stable past 500°F |
